First Impression:
When the owner of Bitch Mag asked me to review Lazer Bunny, he told me that he really liked the site for 2 reasons - goth/punk chicks and all natural tits. And those sound like pretty good reasons to me! When I checked out the site, it claimed to be altporn rather than goth, and I have no argument there, so expect chicks ranging from sort of alternative to goth to totally punk. The chicks here are definitely on the edgy side, which is always a plus, and the tour promises us exclusive content, downloadable HD movies and community features. It also has a music link on the left if you want to browse the tour while listening to punk and alternative music.
Review:
Most of the action in the member area of Lazer Bunny happens in the FULL MOVIES and GALLERY sections, although there are other areas we'll get to in a bit. The FULL MOVIES section is where you will find the 13 downloadable videos and there are around 70 photo sets in GALLERIES. There's a Member Updates section that lists the content in the order it was added, but there are no dates on any of the updates although there are some mouth-watering alt babes on the preview pics.
The videos are full scenes offered in a variety of sizes. The biggest videos are often offered only in streaming WMV, and these range from 650x320 with a 1.75 Mbps bitrate to 1000x562 at 4.68 Mbps. There are other sizes and formats, including a standard sized 640x480 at a very high bitrate of just over 5 Mbps. Some videos also offer downloadable versions in both WMV and MP4, but these are significantly smaller than the streaming vids. One WMV I downloaded was shown fairly small at 320x176 with a bitrate of 437k, and an MP4 was shown at 650x320 with a bitrate of 1.47 Mbps and looked pretty good. Not all the videos offer downloadable versions, which was a little disappointing. All the vids I watched have good sound and feature a variety of punk and alt soundtracks.
The action in the videos varies from a hot porn chick sucking a cock to a couple punk chicks, one with plenty of tats, licking each others' pussies and then both licking a dick. My favorite video was listed last - I guess it's the oldest one. It took forever to load because the bitrate and quality were that high, and showed a solo video of a goth babe in black clothes in moody lighting and getting damned sexy.
One thing to keep in mind when it comes to the streaming HD videos is that they may take a long time to load, and when they start playing, they may stop for long periods to buffer. I actually waited over 15 minutes for one video to start playing, and it stopped again. It's funny about that because I'm on a very fast internet connection and the videos I downloaded all came in pretty fast, downloading at over 600kb/s.
The 70 Lazer Bunny pic sets include 8 "Bunnyz Next Door", who I expect are amateurs. There are also galleries for each of the official Lazer Bunnies with names ranging from Penelope to Kate Hate and Kati*Kill. Many of the pic sets are solo with an artistic vibe, and I found that the pics showed the girls personalities better than the videos when it came to being alternate/goth/punk. The photos are shown at between 450x600 and 500x750, and the quality is pretty good, although not as sharp as they could be. The pics are displayed in a Flash photo gallery where you can make the thumbs scroll by in a sort of iPhone style, and the pics can't be right clicked and saved.
In addition to the pics and videos, Lazer Bunny includes "THE BLOG", where members and bunnies can blog, although most are very short. There's a video blog area featuring 4 vids of the bunnies that are linked from You Tube. The movie previews/reviews section actually upsells to Lazer Bunny pay per view videos, and the MAGAZINE area also includes some articles, music reviews and interviews with the Lazer Bunny girls.
While I wasn't partial to the navigation inside Lazer Bunny, I've seen much worse. A little experimenting will get you everywhere you need to go. I wish there were dates on the updates, and since the site has been around for months, it's obvious that if the videos are being updated, they're not being updated very frequently. I was more disappointed that a good number of the videos aren't offered for download and that even on very fast broadband, I was unable to get a couple of the vids to play in the player - instead I had to cheat by checking in the code and downloading those vids.
Summary:
Lazer Bunny delivers hot porn and alt babes, some with tats and some sucking cocks. There's around 70 photo sets, and exactly 13 videos plus 4 video blogs. Some of the vids are HD and some are standard, but the streaming videos have a very high bitrate and don't lose any quality if you go full screen. Of course, they also require plenty of patience while they load. Some of the vids are downloadable, but not in HD or very high bitrate sizes. The site also lets members read and write blogs, browse and create profiles and there are articles and interviews. The bottom line is that if you like goth, punk and alt chicks, and you're on a fast internet connection, Lazer Bunny is definitely worth checking out!
